Saint Saviour Catholic Academy has a thriving Parent Association that helps with chaperoning field trips, distributing lunch on Pizza Fridays, fundraising, and much more. Most importantly our Parent Association is the driving force for all of our major events throughout the year including:

PARENT ASSOCIATION OFFICERS

Kate Haigney is currently a stay-at-home mom and a Stage Manager by profession. Her children are Jack and Maggie. She has served as the Volunteer Coordinator, Parent Association Co-President, and on the Board Fundraising Committee, a Board Sub-Committee.
Co-President and Annual Auction Gala Chair
Veracelle Hansen works for a major media company in Manhattan. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Syracuse University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Villanova University. She is also a former English as a Second Language Teacher where she taught English in Japan. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three children.
Sarah Hutchens works part-time as an Office Manager for a commercial real estate firm. She has two daughters Elizabeth (‘Bea’) and Maggie. She has served as a class parent and also enjoyed volunteering for several of the school events including Grandparents/Special Persons Day and Breakfast with Santa. Sarah and her family have grown to love the warm community feel that Saint Saviour offers and she looks forward to working with the Parent Association this year.
Class Parent Coordinator
Thayer Porter is a stay-at-home mom with two boys, Cyril and Murrow. Thayer’s parents have been managing small schools since she was a child and she is a firm believer that any school is made better by parent involvement. She helps out with Pizza Fridays throughout the year and loves being able to help out and see all the students.
Mary Ellen Cavaleri
Natasha Cummins is the proud mom of Aidan and Norah. She is also a Process Performance Manager for National Grid. Natasha has had the great pleasure of Co-Chairing the annual Carnival, supporting the Bingo Night event and being a member of the planning committee for the first annual Spring Auction. As the Volunteer Coordinator, she offers her help and time to coordinate school wide event efforts.

Sharon Brown-Veillard is a tax attorney at a Manhattan law firm and has one child, Germain. She has served as Class Parent, Co-Chair for Sports Day, and on the Catholic Identity Strategic Planning Committee. Sharon has also volunteered for events such as, Breakfast with Santa, the Scholastic Book Fair, and the Spring Auction. She believes that volunteering is a great way to support our children and Academy as well as a terrific way to meet and get to know fellow parents/guardians.
Dawn Landry is an IT Consultant specializing in Commercial Real Estate Solutions. Her son Marty is an enthusiastic student at Saint Saviour Catholic Academy. Dawn has served as a Class Parent and a Parent Ambassador on school tours as well as volunteered for Pizza Fridays and the Scholastic Book Fair. She appreciates the energy and camaraderie of the students, faculty and parents that gives the school its unique family-like atmosphere.
Ketia Mocombe is a fulltime Clinical Project Leader at a pharmaceutical company. She serves as Class Parent for her son’s class, and has chaperoned field trips, volunteered at Sports Day, and Co–Chaired Breakfast with Santa. She volunteers as a way of giving back to the community and to demonstrate to her child her interest in his education and the success of his school.
Jill Rivetti oversees the retail division for Brooklyn Industries. She lives in Park Slope with her son, Henry. Jill and Henry enjoy going for bike rides around Prospect Park as much as possible. Jill has volunteered both in Henry’s classes and at events such as Breakfast with Santa and Sports Day. She is excited to be a member of the Parent Association.
Coretta Whitehall is a speech therapist. She has three children Sydney, Luander, and Andrew. She has been a Class Parent, Chair for Bingo Night, and volunteered at the Spring Carnival as well as other events. She believes in working with other parents and staff to ensure that each child continues to receive a faith-filled and quality education at our Academy.
