Ms. Oktavia (Tavi) Romano grew up outside of Washington D.C. in Bethesda. Tavi obtained her B.S. in Art History from Towson University. After graduating she attended the University of the Arts and received an M.A. in Museum Education.  She has worked at the Guggenheim Museum and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. 

After working in museums for a few years, she decided to make the switch to formal education and received her masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Touro College. 

Tavi has lived in Greenpoint, Brooklyn the last five years and is enjoying her commute on the G train.
