Full Day Nursery teacher, Ms. Madison Arrowood is a CUNY Brooklyn College graduate with honors and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English. She is currently continuing her studies at Brooklyn College where she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education. Madison has been tutoring children of all ages in English Language arts as well as other subjects for many years. Prior to joining the faculty at Saint Saviour, Madison has previously served as a camp director as well as an adaptive martial arts instructor. She even has her black belt in Shotokan karate, which has helped her develop great patience, focus, and self-discipline; three very useful traits for classroom instruction and management.

In her spare time, Madison does volunteer work with For Animals Inc., Rockaway Mutual Aid, and Edgemere Farm. She is a lifelong resident of Rockaway Beach, Queens and enjoys efforts in sustainable living and animal welfare. Madison also practices yoga and mindfulness, which she incorporates into her classroom by providing relaxing sensory experiences and techniques for the children to do on their own. Some of these include breathing techniques, visualizations, postures, and playing instruments.
