Part-Time Guidance Counselor
Employed Since: 2014
Liz has over 25 years experience working with students in pre-school through college settings. She received her BS degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from SUNY New Paltz, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with an MSEd in School Counseling from Long Island University.
After a few years of taking time to be a stay-at-home mom, Liz was introduced to the Program for the Potential of Human Development (PDHP), which is part of the Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn. Following her work with PDHP as a part-time Parent Group Facilitator in several Catholic schools for five years, she began working in the elementary school setting as a part-time PDHP School Counselor in 2013.
Liz lives in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn with her husband and son, and is a parishioner of St. Ephrem’s parish. She encourages others to pursue stress-reducing activities and hobbies that can possibly last throughout one’s lifetime, such as cooking, gardening, yoga, tennis, golf; or her favorite, reading!
